Ms. Giovanna Ceglie , UNIDO Representative and Director of the Regional Office, Cairo – Egypt

Ms. Giovanna CEGLIE is a Director at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization and environmental sustainability.
She is an expert in small and medium enterprise development and led the UNIDO programme for clusters and business linkages providing technical assistance and policy advice to over 30 developing countries.

Since February 2011, Ms. Ceglie is Director of the UNIDO Regional Office in Cairo, managing UNIDO activities in the region which include projects on agro-industrial development, cleaner production and resource efficiency, SMEs and employability, renewable energy.

Giovanna Ceglie has authored and contributed to a number of papers, manuals, books on clusters and network development and has been invited lecturer by several institutions and universities on cluster development themes.
