Dr. Rym Ayadi , Senior Research Fellow – MEDPRO
Dr. RymAyadi is Senior Research Fellow and Head of Research of the Financial Institutions, Prudential Policy and Tax Unit at the Centre for European Policy Studies. She is Coordinator of MEDPRO, an FP7 funded consortium for prospective analysis in the Mediterranean.
Rym’s fields of expertise include financial institutions and markets, financial regulation and supervision, crisis management, competition and consumer policy, risk management, European financial consolidation & efficiency, regulatory impact assessment in financial services, financial services provision and financial inclusion, European financial integration, retail financial services and payment systems.
Her fields of expertise also, cover Middle East and Africa with a focus on socio-economic and financial markets developments.
She is expert member of several high-level expert groups in the European Commission, external advisor to the European Parliament and invited expert in international organizations. Since 2011, she was appointed as an academic expert member of the EIOPA Stakeholder Group.
She is also Vice President of the European Financial Inclusion Network (EFIN), a European network that promote mutual learning on financial inclusion and President of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association established to contribute to the future of political and socio-economic model in the South Mediterranean region post Arab Spring.
She holds PhD in Economics and Finance, University Paris Dauphine, France; Masters in Industrial Economics, University of Paris Dauphine.
