Ms. Radia Sedaoui is the Chief of the Energy Section in the Sustainable Development Policies Division of UN-Economic Social Commission West Asia (ESCWA) since 1st February 2016. The scope of work and projects undertaken by Ms Sedaoui are fully focused on the Arab region.
Ms. Sedaoui has an extensive experience in research, energy policy advice, energy modeling, water-energy-food nexus, sustainable energy, climate change mitigation policies and technologies, petroleum economics, oil and gas fiscal regimes and energy market developments.
Ms. Radia previously served as Head Statistics and Gas Modeling Department at the Intergovernmental Organization of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Qatar, from 2010-2014.
Before that, Ms. Radia held several senior positions in Algeria with “Sonatrach” as Director of Strategy and Corporate, Head Portfolio management, Senior Strategy Advisor, and as member of the Board of Directors of three affiliates of Sonatrach in Upstream, Midstream and Trading.
